Kearsney
This species originates from the tropics of South America. It is a strongly stoloniferous perennial, which forms a dense sward and flowers from December to May.
Inflorescence: One pair of spike-like racemes at the culm. often with an additional solitary racemes below the pair. Leaves are light green tinged with purple and light brown.
Culm: Almost threadlike; flushed with red or purple with a simple or branched fineness, which contrasts with the rather robust vegetative parts.
Leaf blade: Bright to dark green. Glabrous, or sparsely hairy, especially on the margins with a flat, keeled sharp ridge. Rounded at the apex and has a smooth shine
